All too many shots of Swifts and Scimitars in situations like that :sad: ... hopefully (and it looks like) the pilot got out of that one ok, others werent so lucky though.

Still an interesting and dramatic picture, thanks for posting Bill.

Nice shot of the Schimitar and the old Whirlwind SAR in the distance. From that shot with the deck crews around, you can see just what a big bird she was.

Pilot got a roasting for staying in cockpit too long to switch everything off :-#
That was not his only mishap, he was nicknamed Lucky.
Got a few more pics if anyone is interested but don't want to bore you with old snaps :redface:
