Anyone getting SPAM or virus emails from me?
I've heard something & was wondering if there's some funny business going on.
If so, I need to take action.
Occasionally everyone will get the odd bogus e-mail that says it's from someone you know. That's quite common if someone in the FS world gets hit by a virus.
I appear to be virus free, but I need to know if there's something more sinister going on with my website.
If anyone has recently had odd e-mails that mention me or dmflightsim, can you please post below.
Thanks

I've had a couple of emails in the last two weeks. They were non-delivery notices with viruses attached, supposedly sent from my speedbird591 address (which I use mainly for flightsim sites) to addresses that are not in my address book and have been rejected by the recipient's internet provider.
But there was no connection with your site, David, and my system is clean and well protected. I suspect there might be a new type of scam sending viruses using mock rejection mailer notices. There have only been two and as my system is clean it is unlikely to be a mass mailer worm that has infiltrated.

Nothing from you either DM although my old Photoshot account probably has a few million by now!!
I don't know if it was just my connection but I found the BT mail server seemed to be down for most of yesterday anyway. The internet worked fine as did all the other pop3 accounts I have.. just my btinternet mail that refused to connect (as did those of Lee and Alison who also use my account). I wonder if they had notice of the prob you are seeing and closed the client down for a day to erradicate it

Old sailors never die.. they just smell that way!
One day I could live with DaveB, but I use V21 and they started buggering about last Wednesday - repaired - oh no it isn't, oh yes it is, and son until yesterday. Checked the ststus line late yesterday and I got, "Thank you for calling the V21 status line on SATURDAY, 22nd July. That should have told me something
Apparently it was the wrong sort of heat!! Methinks it was probaly the wrong sort of techies.
A good while back, when I was the re-format king of Me, I lost the dial up number, got on the phone, was told it could not be given over the phone and to go on line to get it
Don't know what planet thoe people are on. Left hand, right hand and knowledge spring readily to mind.
All appears OK for now, but if it starts up again, I'm on me bike.

Thanks. Seems like it was most likely an isolated incident then.
Someone's had a lot of them recently, with 'Reply To' as my address.
A search on the sender IP comes up with a place called Hialeah near Miami. I've got Miami Vice onto it.
Don't get taken in by those willy pills like I did.
I still dream of having 7 inches - instead of this massive thing. :huf:
