Best and worst of Payware
What do you chaps think the best payware items are (aircraft, sceneries and utilities)?
And wht do you think is the worst and why?

At the risk of facing a very gruesome fate, I'll admit that the only payware still on my machine is the PSS Airbus series (320/330/340), the PSS Vulcan, and the Flight One C421 Golden Eagle, all of which come from the FS2002 era. I haven't bought anything new for years, the quality of freeware these days (and a fairly low end PC :-({|= ) mean that I don't often see anything that tickles my fancy.

But how can they fly wearing those fancy jackets with the stitched up sleeves? :think:Town of_Hgate wrote:You see I know people that would quite like that sort of thing :think:Callum wrote:Abacus is a worse turnoff than a fat woman woth a mole covered in lard.
Utility has to be FSUIPC, just for total all round indispensability; other than that the Reality XP stuff takes some beating.
Aircraft, yeah the companies mentioned by others are very good, but let's not forget companies such as Aeroplane Heaven, Razbam, Plane Design, Alphasim and Sky Unlimited; damn good product, and very good support as well. See if anybody can guess which maker of aircraft I judge the worst, due to their customer service?
And scenery? Well, apart from the UK VFR Scenery mesh, which is now absolutely indispensable it's mainly Visual Flight (and associated) stuff - the Scotland scenery, Steve Ryall's SW Scenery, RIAT Fairford and I love by VFL London. Oh, and some guy called Steve Anderson makes some passable RAF Airfields I understand (tin hat, where's my tin hat ....).

I've got some great payware aircraft, and some that aren't bad, just not quite as good as the great stuff.
The great:
Aerosoft DHC2 Beaver
MAAM RD-4 / C-47
Plane Design's Lancastrian and Lancaster ( got a soft spot for the former ).
The good:
Alphasim's Victor and Halifax/Halton package
The only payware scenery I have is Just Flight's British Airports Northern England ( Part 1 ) which is pretty okay.
No utilities yet but once FSX is out, I'll probably get FS Navigator.
