It was a hard landing. Understanding is that everyone walked away.

We were parked pointing towards the runway, fairly close to it (so had a fairly good view). I was busy doing some paperwork so didn't watch it land but the skipper shouted that it was on fire as it went past us during its landing roll.

Apparently the crew said that as they touched down the fire had already taken hold inside, dont know if they'd seen it before then but it may well have been a diversion as it landed with no PPR etc.

Erm, no it wasn't... They did all walk away from it though. (or rather run as fast as they could I'd imagine :lol: )

Garry, it was at Bagram (about 25 miles North of Kabul) (OAIX / BPM).
