hi,
No its not Airline Liveries - redesigning website at present.
I managed to scan some transparencies from when I was a child!
Photography is not that great - was a teenager when I took them!
Gives a good variety of types using Edinburgh at the time - More to come.

Will have to resize originals and repost soon as they are using up a lot of webspace!

Thanks amo

Was the EAS Vanguard a Rugby charter or something?

That must have been near the end of Vanguard pax operation only three wore that livery and it was a surprise that they were painted such was the impending demise.

Garry,
Yes it was Scotland vs France Feb1980.
There is one sitting behind Laker DC10 at cargo area, Can't remember if it was the same time/aircraft - I think there was about 2-3 on the day.

Hi amo

That was in the twilight of the EAS Vanguards.

From 1978 there were only three EAS pax Vanguards and they rarely used more than two at any one time. So if there were three that day that was unusual but no impossible.

The last pax Vanguard flight by EAS was from Orly to Perpignan on 8th Jan 1981.

Yep that was their normal by then.....rest one of the three up at anyone time.

Unless of course one of yours was the spare.

The missing one would have been F-BTOV that went on to make the last flight of a European pax Vanguard the following January

Those were the days.
