Visiting Brize Norton

Am heading to the West Country Friday (25th Aug) and wanted to go via Brize Norton to see any VC10's around.
What is the best place there to 'sightsee' and-or is there anywhere official to park and watch the aircraft?
(Of course, I'm aware of increased security thesedays and understand if the above is difficult/impossible.)

Thats a great point of reference as I had a similar idea to visit at some point this year.
Many thanks for that Garry!

Hi Eddie
Only trouble is the date of last November but at least it gives an idea as to where to go and take it from there.
Hopefully it will get updated soon in any case

It's updated enough to mension the fact that you can no longer park opposite the 26 threshold :curse:
I think we deserve a car park like they have at Waddington. When i go, I shall have to pack the Bike in the car, park in Brize village, and cycle up to the threshold.
If they're operating off '08', then park at point 'H', take the 15-or-so minute walk to point 'C', and that too is bang on the threshold!

During my time at raf brize in the early 70`s i remember a station commander landing a belfast,on the road and going through the boundry fence,at viewing point O in fog,he came very close to putting it in the ditch that was at the side of the road in them days, maybe thats why they have put a bit of concrete there.
