OK.. so you're fed up of me already but I'm fed up too

Engine No.3 failed today on G-AOHK enroute Guernsey to Southend approx a 3rd of the way out. Attempts to relight fruitless (as with all FlyNET induced failures) but continued to destination without problems. The Viscount is not such a handful as the Vanguard under the same circumstances

Recent main gear failure on approach to Manchester. Flight bugged out due possible conflict on beta panel. Panel thought NOT to be the cause after subsequent testing.

Hi Dave,

Well, I suppose it's got to be the law of averages. The more flights you put in, the more chance you have of getting a failure :-({|= . It could have been worse, you could have been flying her sideways all the way to Southampton. Glad you nursed her down in one piece.

True..

It's taken our average down to 116 but I expect to see that back up soon  -40fpm wasn't too bad considering. I was coming in flaps up and decided at the last minute to drop the brake. Bled the speed of and dopped like a stone  Fortunately.. I have practised for such an event (though not in the v1 model) and have a couple of hours in the type
