At least part of her is left over from the scrapman. Apparently they got it @ a year ago 'off the internet' for @ £8000 and it's used for smoke filled rescue training only.

They probably bought it off someone like Air Salvage (ASI) or GJD Services.

According to this website "fuselage sections removed by road to Pinewood Studios, then later moved to Humberside, UK". Perhaps she had a short film career?

I last operated G-AVMP on 27th May 1973...From Berlin, Templehof to Frankfurt and back...55 mins out and 50 mins back...It had Harco then and the moving map was probably in that large rectangle that has a different colour in the main panel

I was a First Officer at the time and it was just before I started my Command Course at the end of August
