Hi Chaps,
Can anybody recommend an excellent stand alone WW2 flgith sim? I have really started to get into that era of flying, but find that Microsoft don't represent dog fighting ai that well.
I just fancy jumping into a Spit, heading for France and taking down a number of German bombers.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am mainly looking for Battle of Britain etc and nothing American or in the Pacific.
Thanks Jetty

Jetset,
How far back you willing to go mate? is graphics an important part for you?
There were some really good ones about CFSII time, Janes WWII fighters etc along with some others. But that all depends if you want the Graphs!

Hi Guys
Yes i'm an Avid BoB2 player.
it's still has bugs but not like it did on release.
My only quibble now is all aircraft types seem to have a fixed destruction order when you down them.
My favorites are the Me110s as they explode into dust if you get a few good hits.
So Dan ?.
you now work for Shockwave as well as Alphasim ?.
Regards
Rick

IL-2 Sturmovik FB / AEP / PF v.4.04 - you'll have to install the patches yourself, though - or v.4.05 if you want to buy the latest add-on as well. Check out
http://www.pacific-fighters.com for more info about the sim... the theatre isn't BoB, but I'm still sure you won't be disappointed

Rick,
I believe Dan's link with Shockwave predates his involvement with Alphasim; from memory the Lancaster in the Firepower package for CFS3, later used in the Wings of Power addon, was an early Dan production.
Nobody can accuse Dan of not being enthusiastic!

Indeed, I did build that Lanc (as I remind everybody often enough)
But, I have recently started to remodel objects, and retexture objects.
I do a lot of work about the place.. behind the scenes mostly.. but it's all experience in the end!
Dan.
I'll see if I'm allowed to post some screenshots.

Ok BoB2 sounds good. Is it an old one or just recently come out? I just purchased Blazing Angels, it's more of an arcade style, but good fun.
If anyone has a link to BoB2 then it would be much appreciated.
