Very smart indeed!

Ruined, the second livery maybe, but it certainly lets you know, proudly, what nationality the Viscount is!

True enough Chris

They weren't shy to fly the flag with pride.

I think the viscount is such a beautiful Aircraft that any paintwork on her looks just fine. True not as nice as BAF but still shows off the British Beef well. G-BLNB was a frequent visitor to EGCC during the 80's. (sigh! )

Anyway another couple ticked off the list. Nice one Garry.

Hi Eddie

It's not so much the livery as it stands....just that it was so much more balanced before.

G-BLNB in case it slipped your attention is the Pegasus Viscount you were asking about yesterday.........so she may still be about

Ah, I remember reading something about G-BLNB recently but could'nt recall what it was. That must be it. The old girl is still working for a living then.

Ah but is she

She was last year......but perhaps not since

There have been two reported this year one may be this or the former G-APEY . The other is a 700

If she does continue as she was it will only be a matter of time before she gets written off.

When the end does come hopefully it will be either onetime G-APEY or the Pegasus one once G-AOHV as it seem fitting that a former BEA aircraft should close the book.

Morning Garry,

I don't suppose there is any reference to the two airworthy old girls on the web by any chance?

I can't find any literature on them anywhere after spending ages looking last night.

Hi Eddie

Nothing anywhere.

A recent printed airline directory gave two Viscounts as airworthy.

But that does not mean they fly.

These places in Africa are remote secretive and don't take any notice of such things.

They are often countries and airlines that are banned form all countries where their movements are likely to be recorded.

I frequently search for information but nothing ever comes up.

I also look closely during other research but nothing :dunno:
