FlyNET hack update
Hi guys,
The FlyNET website was taken offline to stop further 'damage' as the hacker was still sniffing around when Konny got to it. The damage appears to have been limited to certain VA's where the hacker assumed the identity of the CEO and liquidated the VA. Liquidation dumps the pilots back as students, dumps the aircraft onto the Traders Market and loses all the Flightplan data. Thankfully CBFS VA was not affected so our data should be intact when FlyNET re-opens
Konny will keep the site offline whilst he makes some updates to try and make it more secure and hopefully avoid future trickery. Estimates are that this will take about a week.

Seems there are some rather odd changes - I dont think either CBFS or VHA were seen as a "threat" because we dont operate "modern" aircraft - also it appears there was a company named Westernair that was set up about 9 times and had assumed ownership of alot of the aircraft made available by
deleting VAs - seems like an slightly inside job to me

hate to sound bigheaded - but spent the other night when it first started downloading all of VHAs data to disk on MAC - that way I could sit and go through everything making sure it wasnt infected before loading to my PC- (the nice thing about being an ambidextrous family) - I also downloaded information on Joes VA - and the hack is very traceable - however I do not feel that its my place to say who or what was used except to Konny - suffice to say the hacker didnt even look into either of our dbs at Flynet which I find interesting - plus he seems to have been very umm "selective" in who he attacked - seems he has a hardon for some folks at Flynet.
