Ah my old beat on Corporation Street, Gtr Manchester. Happening all the time at the moment. The City Councils Idea to stop the bus lane hogging public in a bid to reduce congestion and pollution. :think:
Seems a good idea until the Police have to answer a high response call in that area and have to wait until the bollards come down and thats assuming there's not a build up of at least 30 buses in front of you which there usually is.
Serves anyone right who decides to risk it though! :tuttut:

There's one of those at the top of the lower high street in Cheltenham. It gets damaged or just fails so often that it costs a fortune. They were thinking about removing it last I heard.

I thinks it is a bag of bollards. I pay my road tax so why the hell should I have roadsblocked off to me that buses, Post Office vans and police cars can pass through at will.
No sir I would be sueing that council for sure :k:

Theirs one in York which works like that which i think last year, came up on an ambulance while it was driving fast throught it.
