At the bottom it says that freeware files have no copyright on them.
How can that be
Just becasue the items has been handed over free og charge does not mean the title has been.that remains with the author.
It's it only the use of the end product that is free not the product it'self

So far he has sold 13 disks of this type.

He's being very clever by not actually selling the aircraft files. It's just a disk containing all the web addresses of the models he lists, which is in the public domain anyway.
And he does specify that they are freeware and explain what that means. I suppose he could argue that he's offering a service to lazy people who can't be bothered to search for themselves. And that he's put in some work collating the addresses.
I wouldn't really call it fraud, but it is still making money from other people's work - which is morally wrong. Ideally he would obtain the creator's permission and donate a proportion of his profits to them.
Actually - just reading Garry's post - it probably IS fraud. I was being too easy on him!
Sadly it is not an ideal or moral world anymore.

This is one of the main reasons I tend to avoid ebay these days, its far too dodgy for the good stuff to shine through.
Whoevers doing this is wrong, but they're being clever about it. I would reckon than if this was to go to a court of law they wouldn't make a case out of it....
....its still morally wrong though, people like this who freeload of the hard work of others make me sick....its why I've had to design my website the way I've had, you'd be suprised how many people have tried in the past to download one of my pictures just by right clicking the image, even though all work has been copyrighted.
All I can say is keep up the good work guys in naming and shaming these t**ts.

I avoid buying software from Ebay - too easy to copy stuff.
I'm happy using Ebay for buying hardware - cannot be copied as easily.
And I've just reminded the seller of Garry's point about freeware not meaning no copyright.
And while putting freeware on a DVD/Cd/floppy disk for people to save time downloading has always had a place in the world, £5-50 total is more than a little excessive, ie profiteering from freeware.
But who is daft enough to pay that price for freeware? Bet they wouldn't make a contribution to the developers.

Well I'm a firm believer in the old saying "what goes around comes around". These pondlife know the system inside out and unfortunately frequently do this sort of thing.
However as with all scum, they eventually come a cropper.

Well, its' rather like the time some-one had a brain wave and put in an advertisement in a paper or magazine many years ago as follows:
'Send me five pounds and in return you will get absolutely nothing back'
Guess what...................................Quite a few did!!!!!!!!!!
