Husbands Bosworth Airfield

Decided to visit another ex-RAF WWII airfield today. This one was less disappointing than yesterday's one!
The main runway is now a public road (much reduced width and rough tarmac surface) but dead straight and fairly flat save for one notable dip to the east end. A few stretches of Peri track including a long stretch on the north side are still extant as is the control tower albiet iin poor shape. On the north side of the field is a gliding club with four "Supermunk" Lycoming re-engined DHC Chippies as tugs. On the south side, the East Midlands police helicopter has a small base and there are a lot of trees and a few farm buildings.
