Well, in my first post around here, I listed my Favorite Aircraft. For Mid length missions, I LOVE the Trident as she handles great in the pattern, you can descend at insane rates if you need to, I somehow have gotten to like the AP and while others think she's an odd looking bird, I find her to be ,, let's say,, Charming and one can see that her shape is a result of Engineering necessity, {or so it occurs to me and , I could be wrong :think: }.

For Long range, the Super VC-10 Knocks me OUT!!. I think this may be the most handsome large jet ever Built. When I look at the VC-10 from a slightly above angle, and/or, head on, It looks like it's already flying while still on the ground. This is the most Modern looking traditional jet, even by todays standards. It Too flys like a dream and handles quite well at low speeds for being so darn Big. {it's bigger than I first thought, it's size snuck' up on me :shock: }

I also mentioned that for "private flying" , I love the Cessna Skymaster. A wonderful looking plane that performs like a dream, Great STOL.

Well, I have the Dove now, and I love it. One of the things I like to do for fun is fly up and down the West coast of Michigan, My home State. Mile after mile of fresh water coast line at Dusk is just cool!! The thing is, I know every little small town on the way. I've played Music out on the Decks of most of the small pub's in these towns and over flying these places brings back a lot of memories. I think back on how I would look skyward when I heard a plane over head. I would try to see what it was and think, " I wonder where there headed?" This style of flying will be done in my new Dove and I'll be the only guy in a dove flying this coast! {aint it great :dance:

I'm so impressed with the detail of these planes you all have put together for us. It's amazing. Just thought I'd let ya know whats on my mind and I admit I get a little sentimental about this stuff, which is funny for an American who is only 42 years old :-({|=

For what it's worth, the Trident replaced the MD-80, the VC-10 Replaced my DC-10, and the Dove replaced My Skymaster. I'm afraid nothing will replace my 707, I just can't let her go..

Peace to all on earth and happy flying :wink:
