On t' telly last night

'Discovery Wings', I caught a program of archive films, those old 'Ministry of Information' B&W ones from the 40's and 50's.

If you didn't see it you missed Typhoons in action over Normandy,
the Berlin Airlift; Yorks', Sunderlands,Lancastrians,Halifax,Hastings and some from over the pond, and the final segment was Heathrow, Viscounts,
Elizabethan's,Comet and "the engineering bases of BOAC and BEA working 3 shifts around the clock"------> some things have stayed the same!

Discovery Wings,Tuesday at 7pm and repeated at 10pm

and on monday night I missed "Classic British Aircraft" at 10pm on discovery wings :doh:

Once theses programmes turn up they usually repeated within a few days or weeks so it's worth keeping an eye out

yeah discovery wings has a 3hr loop and a 6 week loop i think.

if that makes sense :whistle:

i kinda like flight deck at 4am on a thursday, i think you can still but the DVD's -last week they had drawings of the a3XX (a380) - 'one day these will change the way we fly'.

hmmm...
