My goodness, I've been in wheeled landings rougher than that. Notice the panicked evacuation !

Where were the emergency services? Or was this a field without any, and if so why choose it for an emergency landing. Very strange - but a very good landing. I presume it must have been some kind of total failure, because there do not seem to have been flaps in use either

In other videos, the trucks can be seen behind the aircraft. They were stationed there in case of fire but did not do anything until the passengers and pilot evacuated and then moved in to ensure that everything is safe. There's no point in putting foam on the airplane if they don't have to especially since the engines were shutdown just prior to touchdown and thus the risk of fire minimized.

Peachtree DeKalb has a reputation for that sort of thing - PDK has full CFR services and he kept the flaps UP because if you put them down they tend to depart the aircraft and cause all sorts of damage - all in all the
guys did an excellent job - the videos been around for a while - I believe it was filmed from the FOX affiliate Helicopter in Atlanta
Oh BTW Chris - foaming runways is NOT accepted procdure anymore it
causes more damage both the aircraft and the enviorment than not applying it

Why didn't he land on the grass? Less chance of damage, I would have thought.

There was a Baron that had a nose wheel collapse locally after a landing with the unit not showing locked......he cut the power on touchdown
There was little damage
It was evacuated quickly but there was no fire.
Because of the quick evacuation the door was still open
The Fire Service came along with their foam etc and almost wrote it off
The damage was new nose cone area and a complete internal strip and refit.
