If Simshed are going to produce a HS125 then we'll need as much info as possible as Brian and I only have Dominie stuff!! Your offer is very much welcomed.

I'm very sorry Jim, this book isn't as I remember it; it only has a shots of the exterior and one of the cabin. I'll scan them anyway if you need external views?

And it's a BAe 125/700, with the Garrett engines... oh dear, it gets further away from what I originally thought it was all the time!

I've scanned the complete article; it does include a textual description of the flightdeck on page 4. APU control was in the doorframe, for some odd reason...

[edit]Hmm, these pics are too big to comfortably display in {img} tags.

This is a shot of the panel of a Falcon 10. All the panels in the book looked vaguely like this; i.e. with cutting-edge (for 1982) CRT weather radars, chunky analogue HSIs, very non-digital radios etc... I thought it might be helpful to get the 'feel' of civil jet flightdecks in the early 80s.

The book is "The Book of Flight Tests" by Alan Bransome. It should be called "The Which? Guide to Aircraft (under 10tonnes) 1983 Edition" in my opinion - he flies over 40 'general aviation' aircraft, from the C152 through the Robin R3140 and the Navajo to the BAe 125/700...

I'll be happy with whatever I can get, Dominie/DH.125-wise - it's a lovely aeroplane, by all accounts (although the Viper-engined versions use as much fuel while taxying as the Garrett-engines ones use to cruise at 400kts... ) - but I have a hankering for something with the early-80s flight deck... I've grown up in the age of solid-state digital displays; to go back 25 years to the time where there were no electronic displays and all the instruments were incredibly complex electro-mechanical devices - this has a lot of fascination to me!
