Great video

Post by mgchristy »

Not exactly news, but a friend recently sent me this clip. If you've heard of Bob Hoover but never seen him in action, be prepared to be amazed. The iced tea "trick" is fantastic! And to think I have trouble just walking & chewing gum at the same time...let alone flying in a roll and pouring beverages...

I saw him perform that routine back in 1970 at Alton Illinois - totally incredible - then saw him again in the early 90s at Oshkosh - the guy
was a wizard - thanks for sharing

Tonks

To have sat in the "Theatre in the Woods" at Oshkosh and listened to the pair of them swap lies was a memorable experience - until you realised they
wernt telling porkies

  Except that aircraft is only doing what Hoover wants it to do...

... he was an awsome pilot, I highly recommend his biography. Anyone that Yeager describes as "the best pilot I ever met" has gotta be quite good.

Tonks
Cheers, Tonks

I quite agree that he was an awesome pilot. The landing joke was intended to be totally at my expense.

Regards

Kevin
