Classic British Flight Sim

Hi Guys

Had this little snippet emailed today..

A DAY WITHOUT LAUGHTER IS A DAY WASTED!!!


A WOMAN was flying from Seattle to San Francisco. Unexpectedly, the plane
was diverted to Sacramento along the way. The flight attendant explained
that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the
aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes.


Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind. The man had
noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her
Seeing Eye dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout
the entire flight.


He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot
approached her, and calling her by name, said, "Kathy, we are in Sacramento for almost an hour. Would you lik e to get off and stretch your legs?"
The blind lady replied, "No thanks, but maybe my dog would like to stretch his legs."

Picture this:

All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they
looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Seeing Eye dog!

The pilot was even wearing sunglasses. People scattered. They not only
tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!

True story.... Have a great day and remember...

We have an old party who works doing Ops planning for us - He was 30 years with PSA and swears that story is totally true - it was a PSA aircraft.

Now I know why when I read that story, the first thing I wanted to say for the skit was "It'd be perfect only if it was a PSA 727 the pilot walked off of".

Thanks Leif for letting me know that I wasn't dreaming. I heard that story from an ex-PSA mechanic who worked at Sacramento at the time of the occurance. Can't remember if he works for US Airways now or if he works for UPS. I know a couple of ex-PSA guys.

Actually, I think the perfect one would be the PSA pilot guiding the dog down the air stairs from the lower-level lounge from a PSA L1011 onto the ramp in view of everyone in the terminal. That way you can get the smile on the airplane real good.

Not too sure what the aircraft was - But as I say Jim Patterson dispatched then managed for PSA - hes a walking library of knowledge of
company -nice old bloke - he does route planning for us now (even though retired) One of the saddest stories he tells was being one of the first at the scene of PSA182 - where 37 PSA employees (including 20 something new hire flight attendants arriving in SAN to atttend class died)
But theres the back story Dave - the seeing eye dog and the captain is the stuff Airline "legend" is made of - and 100% true
