Don't know what happened!!

Fuel 60% total for flight from Stanstead to Amsterdam, on landing had roughly 37% remaining which was plenty for the return flight.

Booked return flight to Stansted then into Flynet, came up with load fuel menu so knowing that I had enough ignored it leaving the amount at zero as showed approx 3770kg on board. I knew that I had 37% so clicked on fly now.

In the cockpit the fuel gauges showed 18%!!!!!! Stupidly I thought it best to cancel the flight and re-book as 18% would get me nicely down into the North Sea!! This cost the VA some money, then I found that I had to load on more fuel before taking off!! Again more money!!

Can anyone advise how to overcome this problem? If there is 37% fuel remaining on landing surely this amount should still be on board before the return flight.

When it comes to the menu for refuelling do you ignore it?

Thanks and sorry about the lost revenue.

Nigel.

Hi Nigel,

Not sure why you got the 18% to start with. FlyNET did remember your fuel as it shows no purchase at EHAM. If you fail to complete a flight due to pc crash or you have to kill the client for whatever reason, the database doesn't change. The updates to the database only occur when the flight is correctly completed signalled by the ding dong after you've applied the parking brake.

Your post flight report is here :-

You can find these reports on the VA overview page on FlyNET. You made a tidy little sum with those two flights

Rgds
