there's a few that look right here:

you'll have to add the 'slant' yourself.

Hi Jonesy

There are many different styles that have been used

Some of those military font may do but there is no hyphen and you need to use lower case

But there is no font that will do all.

A pic of the one you are doing may help

There is another font called Eurostyle bold that will do for many of the older ones but you have to increase the proprtional height and also Square 721.

Sometimes there is nothing else but to go on to the free font web sites, particularly those with viewers that allow you to preview the text you are interested in, and trawl through them.

As Garry says, there is no single font specified for UK civil registrations.

handy website that, lots of airline fonts and manufacturer fonts too. Almost as good as brandsoftheworld.com. I tried gary's suggestion of eurostyle as i often spend ages looking for fonts myself. Not quite, but definately one to note down.

From Hinch's demo, depending on your paint package you might be able to modify the height, width, etc of individual characters to make it fit.

Certainly in Photoshop, I reckon Eurostyle would work.

As an example of other fonts which may be of use, there is one close on each of these pages (and lots that are no use!):

Sorry Mark I missed that

OK...I haven't got anything as such

But

Eurostyle bold manually spaced hyphen lengthened

Then increased in height.........slant set (I guess both sides slant back).

Copied and the copy set one pixel back to thicken

Gives this

Image

Which could be played with further

:dunno:
