If anyone has flown in the Harvard at Shoreham, you might be interested in this repaint....

I haven't tried it yet as the downloads aren't working for me. If anyone has better luck I'd like to know.

Now up at AVSIM.....

Not perfect (the back canopy is wrong as is the radio aerial) but not bad all the same...

Having had the opportunity of trying out the real thing (like a lot of people have over the years), I have shown a lot of interest in this paint scheme. Have had four repaints that have had my bum in, wonder if I can persuade these gentleman to stretch to the ten :)

As to the various models showing the incorrect paint schemes as I have observed with a lot of these repaints, I believe after talking to some repainters, that to show the aeroplane as it should be all it takes is a simple change to the .cfg file. Whatever that is?

Best wishes,

Martin

Nope, found out what the .cfg file was and now she's flying as she should be a T-6G!!

A wonderfully recreated colour scheme.

Best wishes,

Martin

Thanks for the HU, I watched her on Monday, whilst sitting outside a pub in the sunshine, almost made me want to stay.....................nearly :worried:

Never flew in it, but it flew over our house many times. Though my ears have over years learned to discern between the sounds of many aircraft types, I still havent learned to tell the difference between a Harvard and my dad's Qualcast Suffolk Punch

Having sat behind both I know which is (a) the more powerful and (b) the more fun. - though I have to confess at one point we did a swoop that (to my uninitiated eye) might well have reconfigured the T6 as a grass cutter. Scary stuff!

Even better with the new Harvard Mk2 model without the antenna in front of the cockpit.

I've just received my update via email from Phil. Will try it out later today (I know I wont be disappointed!).

I've made my G-BKRA a T-6G now as that is what the airframe is.

Best wishes,

Martin
