Indeed Garry

Were they really that big?? Looking at the size of the pilot against the size of the aircraft.. it looks HUGE!! Will have to go and find a phot now!

It is mate.. very nice  Found one old b&w shot (and a couple of colour prints!!) which would tend to confirm the pilot is a little off scale compared to the model.. especially when looking at that second shot. The real aircraft was 13'8" high so that would make him very small indeed

Still.. a lovely looking model and another unusual subject from the ever prolific Ted

Nice model, but hardly Hawker's prettiest airframe I feel. But there can't be many others left for Ted to do now!

Now available over at the pond (spread the word, we need your support...)

This one has a special place for me with it being from Hucknall, somewhere I drive past everyday.

I once was able to drive all the way along Hucknalls old runway on a night shift when the security let me in for a nose round, same as some legendary aircraft have done.

Hucknall? Cor, I work there now and then, supporting that Terribly British firm who make aero engines of course.

Were you there in the 70s for an R-R Open Day when the Blue Angels flew in with their F-4s? Jaw dropping it was......

At risk of making you feel old... I wasn't born yet!

I'm an (very early) 80's baby. I guess I missed a lot of great sights.
