1000 up!!

Post by DaveB »

Hi Guy's,

Just thought I'd share this moment with you  1000 flights over 850hrs covering 173802nm and to celebrate, my 1000th flight was the same as my 1st flight.. Dh89 from Jersey to Guernsey. Sadly, I couldn't do it in the same aircraft (ALXT) as this was flown to Southend many moons ago. However, I chose my fave Rapide (AFEZ) which is appropriate as she wears the BEA Islander Class livery

The last hundred has probably been my slowest as I was somehow a little scared of reaching the milestone. Anyway, it's done so the virtual beers are on me  A big thank you for all your support and to DG for having the foresight to build the Rapide in the first place

Hi Dave,

A very big well done to you, quite an achievement. Here's hoping your next 1000 hours are equally as satisfying and enjoyable.

Thanks Guys

It is probably true to say that before the advent of FlyNET (or at least my rather late involvement in it).. I did very little flying and the flying I did tended to be beta testing. The beauty of FlyNET is that you can beta test and make money (albeit virtual) at the same time

DG..
The Rapide has served me very well over those 1000 flights and is responsible for 233 of them covering 10949nm done in 127.1hrs.. all in real time. It's no surprise that I love the panel but I love the model too.. I love the entire concept of the Rapide. The only thing missing from the model is the constant vibration coupled with the heady aroma of expensive perfume and cigar smoke. Maybe in FSXX???

What's next?? I suppose that would be 1000hrs :worried:

The 'good lady' doesn't mind being a flightsim widow too much as at least she knows where I am plus I'm not spending money while I'm flying :-$ :-#

Dave, I think you need one of these for the vibrations
