As I write, Hans Hermann's repaint of Winston Churchill's York "Ascalon" has been added to avsim's files queue. Many thanks, Hans. I've lost count, but it must be the tenth or so repaint of Virtual Birds Factory, and I understand more are yet to come ...

Excellent Manfred

We're on the threshold of buying our first York's for the VA (doing route tests as I speak) and all of these repaints will be put to good use

While you're here.. do you happen to have an accurate MZFW figure for the York

Been an interesting read in 'Aeroplane monthly' recently,
titled "I was Churchill's Navigator" about the journeys of 'Ascalon'

Thank you Manfred for your announcement of the Avro York ASCALON here in this forum.

Due to an oversight, the model.moyd file necessary for displaying the Ascalon textures is absent from the package uploaded to avsim. :doho: However, the model file has been included in all other Avro York repaints by Hans Hermann (Virtual Birds Factory), except in A685dan1.zip. :hi:

Sorry for any inconvenience caused. :heaven:

Kindest regards
Hans
