Hi Matthew.
Enjoy FSX, get Horizon's VFR GenX Version 2 (if you enjoy England and Wales), and avoid Logitech! That's all I have to offer.

Re: Cogitate - A great way to spend a few hours!
Completed the 10 now. Great fun!
My solutions were a bit cruder than some though. Some incredibly clever solutions to some of the levels.

Re: Lightning crash
Somewhere on the Key Publishing forums there's a thread about the CAA letting Lightnings fly in UK airspace with some input from some of the current operators of the ground taxi examples. Basically it boiled down to a combination of the Frightnings poor safety record while in service and the comple...

Re: Lightning crash
last pass of BEX Quite heartbreaking, already well ablaze. Surprised he didn't have fire warnings well before that though, given the Lightning's often oversensitive warning system. It's only a matter of time until tailplane control is lost - many have made it back safely, some have escaped and some...

Re: Lightning crash
It's looking all too much like the hydraulic leak followed by fire followed by tailplane jam scenario that has plagued the Lightning since forever. Tragic. RIP Dave Stock.

Lightning crash
Sad news.... It's been reported on Pprune that one of the two-seater Lightnings has crashed at an airshow at Overberg, SA. The pilot is thought to have been killed in the crash, which occured following hydraulic failure.

Re: Gallery content
Actually, having just looked at the STUNNING pics of the Forth bridges, is there a place somewhere for an off-topic Gallery? Bearing in mind that most (if not all?) of the pics are hosted elsewhere?

Re: Gallery content
The NF14 at my ATC squadron had no ejector seats! Can't imagine many Meteors did (maybe just the final single seat fighters?). The Vampire T11 we had was suitably equipped of course.hobby wrote:"Meatbox" = in the early days no, repeat no, ejection seats in quite a few Meteors.

Re: 3 Themes for Waddo Airshow Next Year
I take it when he says Waddington is one of only three military shows left in the country he actually means RAF, or are Yeovilton and Culdrose the other two? Or is England the country? (I haven't counted, but for sure Leuchars sounds like the best RAF show last year ;) ) Don't know if we'll go agai...

Re: Vodka anyone...?
Can you imagine all the noise that must've made? :-O Someone dropped a tonne and a bit of sauce in a metal container at ours today. That made a bit of noise too! :tunes: Something about that racking isn't quite right. I think the uprights would be stronger over here. Saying that, it did get a good ...
