Incredible flying

Post by VEGAS »

Just watched these videos again. I know they may have been seen so many times before. But no matter how many times you watch them, they still defy belief!
I have never seen an Airliner do anything quite like it ever before! Imagine being sat in the passenger seat?! :sicky:

One can imagine the look on the Boeing hierarchy's faces when he pulled that off in front of them and all the reps from the airlines

I think the second video (featuring Bob Hoover) appears to be taken from a BBC series called Reaching for the Skies, which I'd all but forgotten about until I saw this clip.

It aired in the mid to late 80's and was narrated by Anthony Quayle (the German spy from Ice cold in Alex).
Each program covered a different area of aviation and if my memory serves included fighters, bombers, transports, airliners, general aviation and probably a few others.

Does anyone else remember seeing it or better yet know if it's available on DVD? I'd really like to watch it again as I remember it being a great aviation series and in the days before Discovery Wings it was a bit of a rarity. It even had some great opening theme music.
