Hello to all,

My name is Ivan and I come to you from "Northwestern Lower Michigan". A small Town named "Traverse City". I play Music for a living all 'round the USA and when I was a child, it was going to be one of two things for me. Music, or flying. I guess Music bit me a wee'bit harder

About one year ago I found a copy of FS9 at a big box store and while I had toyed about with 98, it didn't really get hold of me. Now? I sim nearly everyday that I'm not on the road!!

As I stumbled into the good number of sites for simming, I found a down load for a Trident package. This led me to this site and I must say, The British made the coolest, most interesting Jet Aircraft of the 50's60's and 70's

. There is simply "something about" these old bird's that I can't seem to get enough of.

So'. Thanks. Thanks for making these wonderful airplanes available to us simmer's!! I can't believe that such quality can be had for FREE! My goodness!! Who Knew? I plan to donate when I can and you seem like a good bunch of gent's here. I look forward to reading along and hopefully, I'll join the VA as well.

Hallo Ivan, welcome to CBFS. That's a friendly introduction, I think you'll fit in very well here

The classic aircraft of the 50s, 60s and 70s are a lot more fun to fly than the modern FS models. And, as you say, there's something about the British aircraft of that period. I think you could call them charismatic - they were more than just machines and they still generate a great deal of emotion - as you will see if you stick around :roll:

As Ian was saying the old stuff is more fun

I have been flying Vikings a bit lately and you have to actually get it off the ground and try to maintain a rate of climb

None of this sit tight until a certain speed , pull back and power away

.. For what it's worth, My favorite at the moment is the Trident 3 {who would have guessed such a thing? :shock: }. Only a week ago now, I installed the 1-11 and like it also. It's perfect for flying into my home base {KTVC}.

The super VC get's all my long haul stuff done and for fun, I like the Cessna 337 Skymaster. Although I have many planes installed, it seem's that most sit in the hanger and these four are all I really need...

Before my affair with These fine old bird's, I was an MD-80 guy. There was something about the SGA Mad Dog that made it fun to fly {and land}. So, I still revisit the old MD here and there.

Well, again, thanks for being here fella's. I can tell already that this is my kind of place.. There's a good spirit here.
