If God had meant us to fly, he would have given us tickets.

Great news

I was really hoping it would not go to Revell

Hornby are very proactive and have managed to turn around model railways which were even more specialist the the kit industry

I wish them well

No how about some proper airliner releases in classic liveries

The report of this news in today's Telegraph was not inspiring:

"new models adapted for the shorter attention span of today's youth"

Right, so they won't be buying them for long then

As an aside, why doesn't anyone question why today's youth supposedly has a shorter attention span?

Fantastic!!

I've been checking the news on Google most days to see what happened to Airfix - and I hear of it first ...

HERE!

Great! They're in good hands with Hornby I'm sure.

At the risk of upsetting people and being stereotypical, I'd say poor diet and lifestyle, obsession with video games (not 'uncool' oldfashioned toys like most people on here would remember!) and lastly and most controversially (for some), the growing intellectual divide would be responsible.
