I can confirm your statment about American 1-11s - Dan Air had
GAXCK and GAXCP which were both ex AA aircraft neither had WM and
both were considered series 400 and both had (per the DAN AIR AFM)
greater take off power than GATPL and GATPJ which were ex Eagle and
also had no WM but were considered less powerful. (Funnily enough
the American Aircraft were alos Lighter than the original Eagle 300s AND
the nasty hybrid (GAZED) that Dan Air owned

In fact the first Water Meth equipped 1-11s I saw were Courtlines 500s

I'm not aware of water meth injection. In my experience it was just de-mineralised water

My Bad VC10 - I just assumed it was water methanol - for all the black smoke the buggers put out when using it
