funny you should mention that. Its exactly the reason I was dissapointed with Die another day. An invisable car just takes things too far and steps out of the reality bubble quite significantly. :sad:

I grew up with cheesey Roger Moore as JB and TBH he is my favourite only because I was in complete awe of the guy during the 1980's.

Lazenby was good but short lived. I thought Dalton was dire. :shock:

Sean Connery was arguably THE James Bond role model and can never be replaced on the top spot IMHO.

i personally own all the films so far on dvd, ok so its a bit far fetched, but hey, all based on used and known gadgets etc, used by our cunning foxes.....apart from the car obviously...

what i want to know is how can bond get away with being secret for so long i dont know...surely the papparazzi or what ever they are would have blown his cover long ago.....

i like the films purely for entertainment value, especially when a vulcan gets knicked and landed on water!!!!! :dance: what an idea,
all i can say is each to there own, Sean was the man, very closly followed by peirce, lets see what the new fella has in store for us...!

I thought the car wasn't as much of a stretch of the imagination as people seem to think. Certainly no more so than some of the technology was ahead of it's time in the earlier Bond films.

Regarding the best Bond, in my opinion it's Timothy Dalton by miles. He always seemed to me to portray Flemings Bond from the novellas much more accurately than anyone else.

I wasn't too keen on Daniel Craig but having seen a few trailers, shorts and various documentaries I must say he's grown on me, but the proof will be in the viewing.

Yes and Bond is supposed to be discreet, inconspicous and stealth like. Instead he drives a £150,000 car around third world Countries that normally only see Lada's and Trabants and Tuk tuk's!

Personally I thought Dalton was the best, then maybe Roger Moore, although of course they played the character in very different ways. Not a Sean Connery (Wee Jimmy McBond) fan myself and wasnt too keen on Brosnan. Totally agree with DB about the last film, if it hadnt had Rosamund Pike in it, I wouldnt have bothered watching it last time it was on TV It was too much like a p1ss take of the character.
