Sounds likely, but I think it has gone a stage further in FSX Rick.

I remember having to do a similar exercise with the FSDS3 1-11 to get rid of a load of lilac coloured stuff! (due to MakeMDL ?)
Trouble is, from what I remember, all untextured VC bits in the 1-11 now display very light grey instead in FSX.
Slight improvement over 'first poo' (No, I'll never forget it  ) but still sh1te.

I'll have a quick go at it, but if it's hard work, I'll wait for the new compiler & see what that has to offer. If indeed I ever bother with FSX.

Hi DM,

Since adding the 3 zip files from the VC texture folder those horrible brown textures are now nice and dark grey !! BTW, What is that 'nut' shaped thing near the yoke on the righthand side ?

 It will depend on the lighting conditions, if the sun is behind it will light up that kind of colour brightly, while in the shade it is very dark.
You can see that effect on your picture, under the nut thing is very dark.

From memory, the nut shaped thing did the window wipers on the real aircraft. Either that or window heaters.
Can you keep us posted if you come up with a quick fix ??
Will do.

Thanks Dave,

Lovely aircraft models btw - wish I had the expertise/time/patience to do some myself. Used to fly in the tridents when on leave from RAF Aldergrove back in the early 70's - and the odd tri-star, ah the good old days !!

Merry Xmas
