New BAe-146

Not sure if we can consider it classic yet, but Paul Hannity is working on a new version of the 146 with a VC

Lets see, first produced more than 20 years ago,
pretty good production numbers
and its now out of production.

In my book that makes it a classic.

Does anybody know how Jon Murchison is getting on with his revamped/rebuilt 146 series?

Looks nice. No tail 'bump skid' though and not as good as DM's would be

Is this that model thats been around for a few years but never yet released? Looks familiar

I did post some shots of 146 cockpits some while ago for a French modeller who was making one (also since vanished into obscurity). I have some excellent colour renderings of the Avro RJ EFIS cockpit but thats not quite the right for for this variant.

If anyone's in touch with teh designer, I might be able to dig out some useful material.

EFIS? EFIS? What on earth is EFIS? :huf:

Reminds me of a Not the Nine O'Clock News sketch, probably before Toby's time, about a court case to do with theft. The barrister played by Griff Rhys Jones lists to the judge, played by Rowan Atkinson, the articles in question; a digital watch:

"A digital watch m'Lord"

"A digital watch! a digital watch, what on earth is a digital watch?!

" It's en electronic timepiece which displays the time numerically m'Lord"

"A Video Tape Recorder, m'Lord"

"A Video Tape Recorder? What on earth is a Video Tape Recorder?"

" It's a household device which let's one record television programmes m'Lord"

"One deluxe model inflatable woman, m'Lord, whatever that is?"

" The deluxe model is the one with the real hair."

Dare I say it? The model doesn't look right :-$ The front edge of the wing is faaaar to angular and the nose is way off... the window cut looks a tad suspect too. I must say though, that the VC does look superb!
