Make Bono history - now!

Post by speedbird591 »

An Aussie friend has just sent me this email. Supposedly true.

At a U2 concert in Glasgow , Bono asks the audience for some quiet.

Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands.

Holding the audience in total silence, he says into the microphone

"Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies."

An "Aussie" voice from near the front pierces the silence,

"Well, stop f***ing clapping ya d***head."

Ian

As much as I dislike Bono and would love for that to be true, I'm afraid it's an urban legend.

Although it is very funny.

Its like at Live Aid, Geldof never said "Give us your f***ing money!", but "F*** the address, just give the phone, here's the number..."
