VC10s at MAN

Post by TobyV »

Neil (Trident Man) spotted a couple of VC10s landing at MAN the other day due to poor visibility elsewhere apparently. One was XR808 and he didnt get the reg of the other. Two questions arose from this:

1) Did he spot Tonks? :tab:

2) Whats the origins of the "Ascot" callsign?

Tonks you visited and never came to say hello! I saw the aircraft on the 80's stands, along with a Tristar close by. There was also another Tristar on the 60's along with what I thought was a Globe Master? I also saw a C130 come in. This was also followed by a B707. I wish I had had my camera, a real classic aviation few days. We also had an Omni DC10.

Tell me about it Tonks! It's a pee take, especially against its own staff and air crew! Pathetic if you ask me. I think your handlers are Servisair, shame you were not looked after by us, we offer first class service!
