Well Nigel,Nigel H-J wrote:That is absolutely stunning, those shots from the flight deck and cabin are brilliant. Peter, out of interest how many times did you fly this particular one?
That took care of a chunk of the day answering that question

My first flight in G-AWZK was from Malta to London on 8th June 1975.
My last flight in G-AWZK was from Glasgow to London on 24th October 1985.
I flew that aircraft 127 times and all flights were in command

Thanks Toby...I will of course be delighted to attend and look forward to sitting in a familiar seat :dance:TobyV wrote:There will be a grand opening event to which Peter and many of his former colleagues at BEA/BA, people at DH/HSA/BAe and other persons involved with the Trident over its history will be invited. That is fantastic Peter, bet it will be great being back in the seat. I know it's a little different, but when I get to see the forward nose section of the DC10 G-DMCA at the AVP it stirs alot of memories. The amount of times I have dispatched the aircraft and sat on it during tech delays is immense. Brings a tear to ones eye being back onboard.
Onwards and Upwards!!!!!!!!

Jetty!
If God had of meant us to fly, he would have given us wings! He did, it's called an aeroplane!

Well Nigel,
That took care of a chunk of the day answering that question
Now you are beginning to make me feel really guilty at having asked that question Peter!!

Guess it will feel very strange and bring back a lot of happy memories when you slide into that seat. Maybe you could take a copy of a photograph up with you whilst you were either flying the Trident or just sat in the 'office' then Toby could add it to the display at the rear of the aircraft...........
I think it would be a fitting tribute for all your work in helping Dave to get the FS9 Trident where it is today.....'Back in the Air' where it belongs.
What about it Steve, any chance?
Regards Nigel
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.
