RAF Harrier GR.3 in action

Post by JensOle »

Hi,

A few screenshots of No IV Sqn RAF Germany Harrier GR.3's from the combatsim "Wings over Europe". It may not be as realistic as FS, but lots of fun flying many classic NATO aircraft from the cold war time frame.

Regards
Jens-Ole

The Harrier was if I remember right the first (production) British aircraft to have a HUD. Not like the F-16 or Tornado HUD of today, but it must have been a big steep forward when the Harrier entered service.

Wow, that's nice!

I've always liked the GR.3. We just need one for FS, now.

Looks fantasic Jens! Echo that I'd love one for FS... I wonder if FS has a better vertical flight model?

no time scales as of yet, as our modeller is currently sunning himself on red flag, but the conversiobn from FA2 to GR3 should not be too bad

no, becuase of the limits of Rob;s VTOL wizzardry, it will only work in fs9, as do our sea harriers, however, as soon as rob creates a set of FSX vtol items, all our harriers will be upgraded to FSX

Well the Strike Fighters/Wings Over Europe flight engine allows for vectoring thrust and the little puffer jets used for control in the hover, so it's pretty hard to beat. Plus you get to blow things up!
