My favourite era was certainly the 80's, like Eddie, I remember Ringway being full of good stuff. The noise of the 1-11's, the great hulks of the Tristar's, DC10's and B747-100's/200's. It was more interesting back then. Today it's just modern stuff, with the odd Tristar and DC10 thrown in for good measure. I was speaking to a couple of chaps at work who have worked at Ringway for a number of years, and they recall doing start ups on Dan Air Comets on stand 2. What a memory to have,
