Hawker Fury

Post by AndyG »

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned already, but Ted Cook has added to his recent Hart family series with a very nice Fury I and II; fingers crossed for some (proper) Nimrods to follow. :prayer: Available at all the usual outlets, I can feel a Munich Crisis repaint coming up!

There is a 2007 version of a PROPER Nimrod on the drawing board at this time, bit faster than anything you have in mind I'd bet!

It's a family thing Brian; my son calls all biplanes "proper planes" - I suspect a little indoctrination on the part of his grandfather, who started his RAF career as an air gunner on the Hawker Hind.

Would your "PROPER Nimrod" be including the MRA4?

Noooo! MR1, 2 and R1 only until the MRA4 is in RAF service, then maybe....

Was keeping this under wraps but this is for much later this year. (DON'T ANYONE BOTHER ASKING FOR IT EARLIER).

You can see how early in dev it is, no 'sticky-out' bits; Dominie and others to come before this one!

Perish the thought!! Glass cockpits ...I'd have to start doing serious XML stuff....Yuk!! It'll probably have an espresso machine and microwave instead of a boiler and an oven too.
