Ahh Redhill, I worked there at Bristows for a while right after leaving the RN in '79.
I remember al the old "moths" well, as a kid we used to watch them flying all over the place as I was from Merstham not far from there.
I remember once seeing a very old "moth" ACDC, I was told that at that time it was the oldest flying moth in the world.
I was working in the hangar once and happened to look out the door, there was this guy who had just got out of his aircraft walking a bit funny I thought. it was none other than Douglas Bader who was pals with Billy Bristow himself.
Must go back a visit it all one day, if you google earth it you can still just see the circular taxi way the spitfires used to use.
