The thing that screams is the grey top is too light

Photos don't do it justice....it was quite grey especially when new

cheers garry - that explains why the white door frames stand out so much! Can you recommend an image to show this?

I've now lined up everything on the fuse nicely - this model is great to paint! Also now finished the engine dirt using a new brush and i'm very happy with it!

Hi Hinch

This is one of my repaints.

Job to judge as the colour tended to lighten after a while....but that's what I used

hehe good good, this paint is before my time and it's hard to judge colours from photos. Colour palettes on the net don't seem to date back very far.

You don't perchance know if the wings were grey also?

this is it now:

seems to work well in FS.

This is the problem Hinch you may not have seen them...

With the Skyways 748 I had to go back and forth with Leif to get the colour as I had never seen them and I knew pics were too faded.

We didn't get Skyways here and although mags had pictures they were black and white in those days.

As to the wings I would thing they are the standard light grey finish as on for instance the City Hopper livery.

Having said that I only saw the Air France ones.

Wings were often standard factory finish unless they were a part of the livery which I doubt in the case of TAT.

The pic of DUU seems to bear that out as it is a similar but different tone to the upper-works.
