Well I have to admit Garry has sort of inspired me to get off my backside and do some painting myself rather than keep asking. Garry has given me a lot of help with tips and tricks to which I am truly grateful. A long way to go and a lot of rough edges to polish off before I reach his quality. Glad you like the Air Anglia repaint.

As Dave B says genuine....anything you see here should be genuine even if at times a little surprising or unusual
Also as Dave point out the Dakota was widely used.
Eagle Airways/British Eagle was one of the very few larger airlines from that time that didn't, most others did and in fact many either started out with the Dak or after a year of so on ad hoc taxi/charter work with Rapides or similar expanded into a full airline when they introduced the Dak.
Apart from being a useful type it was also very cheap due to the large numbers of ex military. Later good well maintained machines were picked up by the independents when BEA sold off their fleet.

BTW amongst the photos that David Welch gave is GANTD in Derby colours
which are identical to the the ones you have it painted in for BMA except
it says of course Derby Airways and has a DA on the tail in the same style as BM

How low will you go asking the CEO of Classic British Flight Services to do a non British paint for you :-$ I think he has quite enough on his hands doing all the British liveries!! That's the reason he's doing them btw.. not because he loves painting DC3's but like me, he likes to fly our fleet with the correct livery/reg :dance:
