Most of these type I missed because they never came to us. :sad:

Never saw a Comet move apart from overflights or a Britannia

Never seen a Hunter or a Phantom and many others apart from museums.

Travel was expensive and we couldn't afford it and anyway 2 weeks was the total paid leave then

I have seen one distant landing and two distant take offs of VC 10 the last time I saw one was in 1993 I bet you see far more VC 10's than I ever did.

Age means nothing...these aircraft did not go everywhere. :think: :sad:

I don't think Garry has answered his question about EAA VC10s - the top flag of the three on the tail indicates the country of registration. So since the Tanzanian flag is at the top it had to be one of the two mentioned.

I reckon that the trivia Garry and I know could fill volumes of books!

Anyway it was nice to see the Chippy at liverpool, when you compare the photos to Ricks model.... :)
