Quite right DB, it's nearly always passengers left, cargo/baggage right.
I was thinking the Super VC10 was the oddity, but that's normal.
The Standard only has the rear cargo door on the left because there's no room for it anywhere else. The rear service door takes the right hand space.
Not sure what the excuse was on the Trident 1 & 2 though. :think:

I remember reading the original design had a similar weird extended fairing (?) on the left side, with a hinged section for the cargo door!
The idea didn't make it to production and they just chopped it short of the door instead.
