I've moved.......again!!

Post by Nigel H-J »

Hi Guys,

Have now completely got over that nasty I had a few weeks ago and cannot get enough of this VA but unfortunately due to other tasks that need seeing to I have to limit myself to about 8-10hrs flying a week

Decided to move to Manchester as Heathrow, for some funny reason, takes a lot out of the computer as when flaring or even on the take-off roll, the frames stutter which is slightly annoying so.........decided to pack my bags and transfer myself up North and had a brilliant flight on the Trident 2 to Amsterdam and back.

Next flight scheduled Bank Holiday Monday. (I hope).

Regards Nigel.

Hi Nigel

Sadly mate, Manchester does this to me too which is a soddin shame. As a consequence, I don't fly into or out of there much these days. If it was like LHR, it wouldn't be so bad. I get the odd jump on approach but nothing bad at all.. until I turn off the runway that is!! At Manchester, it stutters all over the place.. especially on approach and at times, very close to the threshold making landings more miss than hit

Other folks with similar gear fly there with no problem so I don't know what the answer is.. only that my system isn't keen  Rwy 6 seems worse for some reason.

Dave, you could always put the visibility to quarter of a mile, doing it that way may stop them stutters and at the same time you can practise your instrument flying (manually of course)!!
