Perhaps there is a NOT missing from this comment ???
The Phantom has disappeared (..like a Phantom into ze night? - Sorry been watching the 'Allo 'Allo prog on tape again) and last time I passed had not been replaced. Perhaps a Jaguar could find a home there?
I think I saw somewhere that it had been one of the F4(J)s bought to top up numbers after the Falklands commitment for a Flight at Port Stanley, and that the supply had been on the understanding that these aircraft had to eventually be destroyed/returned to the States once out of commission.
Mind you I think there is one in the RAF Museum at Hendon, so I could be talking rot as usual.
Shuffles off muttering, falls over cat's zimmer. Thinks, "Odd I don't have a cat."
