Kit posted as I was typing, I suspect he is correct in saying the ramps were left behind certainly for heavy drop and as such could be left out of a doorless model but for the doors fitted maybe they should stay if it has a vehicle in the hold.

A couple of pics I found of XM106 in standard RAF Transport
Command colours on a site about busses would you believe.

XM106 in cam finnish, Aden some 3 months before her demise S ident letter

http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.s ... arch=XM106

3 pics of XM106 in standard paint scheme and R as the Sqn? ident letter and not the later S.
scroll down to Transport Command (November 1961)

looks great Rick

Rich/Kit..........I went inside XH124 as a kid just before she was retired and well remember the ladder climb into the cockpit  .

Am I imagining it but was there a hatch in the floor of the tailboom for paras to drop out of?

Garry you are not imagining it. 2 of our well lubricated soldiery opened said hatch over the sea on our return trip to Singapore, the loadmaster went mad, not easy to close in flight, there were 3 exits for paras that 1 plus 1 each side of the rear fuselage.

I was amazed when I logged on as to how much Rick had done with your help, Many thanks.

Rick has done a fine job...all I did was point him in the right direction

One thing I well remember clearly was the tail boom

It was like a cabin of a conventional transport and one could almost forget that it was the upper rear end of the aircraft such was the scale

Hi Guys

Rich here is primary update.

Unzip to FS9 folder & say yes to overwrite (already for FS9 tree)

http://rickpiper.cbfsim.org/beta/Beverleymdlupdate1.zip

split into 2 models
1 in normal config.
1 in drop config.

Globe removed completely.
Flaps fixed.
Specular shine added to model to bring it upto date.
Duplicated right rudder removed.
Textured reflective glass added (shows in FSX)outside only!
can remove glass if you don't like it just FSX has to have glass textured
or it's just gone.

Let me know how you get on?.

Regards
Rick
