Hi Everybody -

First off, let me say that this is one site where I genuinely feel as if I'm among friends. While I am a heathen Yank, most of the things I enjoy most in life - airplanes, cars, bangers-n-mash, Emma Peel ... are both classic and British.

If any of you were to poke about in my blog, you'd see that in real life I fly airplanes like Tiger Moths and even a Thruxton Jackaroo. If I were to fly nothing but de Havilland aircraft for the rest of my life, I'd die happy.

Anyway ...

I want to apologize for not getting your link on the site when we launched at the end of April. That was my fault, a simple copy and paste error. The pasting bit was fine, but the copying started from the wrong list.

Once the site went live, the content had to be frozen while hundreds of thousands of my fellow facelss corporate drones here at Microsoft did security checks, built our authoring and editing environment, etc, so we were locked out of making any changes. This period was supposed to last about a week, and ended up lasting about three.

In those three weeks, I was ... bemused to say the least, to get an average of 10 link requests for CBFS for every one request for any other site. I was amazed at how quickly they piled up. I got so caught up in the passion of the campaign, that I was tempted to send mail myself ...

Anyway, as you've seen, the error has finally been rectified - CBFS is, as of now, listed properly as a Community Site as well as under the Add-Ons / Accessories category since this site does a great job of steering people to the good stuff.

Once again, sorry for the mix-up, and thanks to everyone who wrote. And wrote, and wrote. ;)

Cheers to all -

Hal
