Anastasia anyone?

Post by hobby »

Links in another section of the forum give FS pilots the chance to download lots of the Gerry Anderson aircraft.

I am of the "Eagle" generation and just wondered if anyone had constructed an FS model of Dan Dare's spaceyacht "Anastasia", named after his batman Digby's aunt Anastasia. This space vehicle appeared in a great many Dan Dare adventures and might have been roughly the size of a DH Dove.

Funny you should say that Peter

My first thought was it was a nickname for a Russian aeroplane

Funny you should say that..........

When I asked John about the T'birds and he came up with the links, I had exactly the same thought about 'Anastasia'!

Umpteen years ago I made a '1/72' scale model of her, but it was definitely a 'Beta test' version and I always intended to do a much better one.

Somewhere I have, or had, the bare bones of an FSDS 2 version but I think I made her a bit larger than a Dove. Never got anywhere near 'flying' as my FSDS skills border on those that I have for brain surgery and building pocket size nuclear fusion reactors........
Regards
Kit
